About CAE’s Punch-a-thon
What is a Punch-a-thon?
CAE’s Punch-a-thon is CAE’s version of a walkathon fundraiser. Participants will learn martial arts punching and basic self-defense techniques from trained instructors. Together we will aim to complete 1,000 punches representing confidence and empowerment for all survivors of violence. It’s an inspiring and fun morning in Brooklyn’s beautiful Prospect Park!
Who Benefits
CAE’s Punch-a-thon directly supports our vital self-defense and healing programs for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, as well as our violence prevention and leadership programs for youth. CAE provides these programs in schools, rape crisis centers, and community organizations to deliver educational and self-defense programs. These unique programs help participants build skills and confidence, learn how to protect themselves using their voice and physical self-defense strategies, and explore issues such as relationship violence, bullying and sexual harassment.

"Tulani, a student in CAE's after-school program Power, Action, Change for Teens, demonstrates her board breaking skills, and her commitment to raising awareness about child abuse.
Our Goals
- To complete 1,000 punches representing confidence and empowerment for all survivors of violence.

There’s another parking location, farther away called “BHC Car Park”, at 100 Parkside Avenue (on the south end of the park, cross street Parade Place).
